A medical centre is warning that ‘certain routine work may stop for the time being’ due to Covid.

Manor Park Medical Centre is based in Polegate High Street.

Dr Brown has posted: “As we enter another period of lockdown and uncertainty, please be assured we remain open if you need us.

We will speak to you on the phone to begin with and only bring you in if necessary.

Certain routine work may stop for the time being.

Examples might include chronic disease monitoring for people whose condition is stable, so we can concentrate on people with poorly controlled diabetes for instance, as people with poorly controlled chronic conditions are more vulnerable to developing complications of COVID-19 infection.

Some routine work such as cervical smears and children’s immunisations will continue.

Please bear in mind our staff may have to self-isolate like the rest of the population so service provision may change from day to day.

Stay safe and WEAR A MASK.”
