A new mobile cafe has opened in Friston Forest.
Zoe and partner Milke have opened “Snail and the Chick” in Butchers Hole car park.
Zoe said: “We were both born in Eastbourne and love to walk in nature, especially Friston Forest and have done for some years. We have a passion for quality coffee, food and outdoor life.
Our ethos is to be as eco-friendly as is possible and so our packaging will reflect this by being biodegradable and compostable.
We also encourage people to bring their own cup and receive 30p off.
We will be providing bins and a compost box for our 100 percent natural tea bags.
We will also be using an LPG Generator, the quietest one we could find.
We will be serving locally roasted, quality barista coffee, 100% natural teas, hot chocolates, colourful lattes and soft drinks.
Our food will be freshly prepared from local suppliers such as, vegan pasties, vegetarian sausage rolls, grass-fed meat pies and delicious cakes.
We will also have some gluten free options too.
Our milk comes from a local dairy where the cows roam freely.
Our opening times will be Friday to Sunday, 9am until 3.30pm. This may change with the seasons and available light.
Our FB page, website and google search will be available soon. Our Instagram account can be found @snailandthechick if you would like to follow us there.”
