One person was vaccinated every 14 seconds at the Sovereign Centre on Saturday.
That amounted to 2300 people in the one day ‘Super Saturday.’
Josh Babarinde said: “This is what my inspirational NHS and St John Ambulance colleagues and I achieved on ‘Super Saturday’ at the Sovereign (Vaccination) Centre yesterday, where we vaccinated 1 person every 14 seconds – beating the national rate.
“Back to back for 5 hours, I was giving local residents their second AstraZeneca vaccine – including a friend of mine who I last saw for a drink in The Rainbow (when it was The Counting House) right before the pandemic hit.
I knew we’d reunite for a shot before long…but who knew we’d reunite over THIS kind of shot?! Chuffed to serve him as my patient nonetheless.”
