CAROLINE Ansell does not have it easy in her role as the Tory MP for Eastbourne.
Her victory in the last General Election was a convincing one.
Stephen Lloyd was a long, long way behind after a disasterous campaign.
She has many critics and that will never change.
However, there is no doubt in my mind that she cares.
And also that she works hard for Eastbourne. She wants our town to do better and she wants to play her part.
So last night when her Tory chums were voting against free school meals for the most disadvantaged Caroline took a stand.
She said no to Boris and his team and voted for Labour’s motion on extending free school meal vouchers until after Easter 2021 for those families in receipt of Universal Credit or an equivalent benefit.
We should all applaud her for that this morning.
