A SOCIAL group formed during the Pandemic is staging a party to celebrate its third anniversary.

Caroline Smith’s East Sussex Social Friends Meets Ups is holding the celebration on September 24 at the Red Lion in Stone Cross.

Caroline wants as many people to attend as possible. Entrance is free, and a raffle will be raising funds forSt Wilfrid’s Hospice and the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital.

The group was formed with the sole purpose of offering the chance to meet new people, make new friends and enjoy a range of fun-filled events.

It tries to support Live Music in and around Eastbourne.

Caroline said: “By doing that, we are not only bringing together members but also supporting establishments and live music .

“The original aim during Covid was that members could interact with each other by Zoom and messages on the group’s wall.

“Then, when time allowed, it’s about meeting up with others and events being held to bring people together.

“It’s a diverse group of women, from all walks of life, with different backgrounds and interests, but what unites us is our love of socialising and having fun.

“So, whether you’re looking to expand your social circle, try new experiences, or just have a good time, you’ve come to the right place.”
