THE Pavilion Tea Rooms along Eastbourne seafront will reopen on May 17 after a major refit.
It is owned by Eastbourne Borough Council, and it will be a cafe and bar open from 10am until 10pm seven days a week.
A cafe-style menu will offer lunch and light bites, as well as a licensed bar menu, like before, subject to a new licensing agreement
On the menu will be coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks, sandwiches, bagels, Eccles cakes, light tapas and much, much more.
It will not be serving full meals.
It can seat up to 100 people and 50 outside where there are picnic benches.
A spokesperson for Eastbourne Borough Council said it will be a great attraction for locals and holidaymakers.
Regulars and newcomers
He said: “This has always been a popular venue, and so much work has gone into refurbishing the venue.
“It will be a nice and relaxing place to come, low key, and put simply it’s a nice quality place to visit.
“We are confident that it will be very busy and attract both our regulars and newcomers.
“We are perfectly positioned along the seafront and Eastbourne is set for a very busy spring and summer.
“We can’t wait to open.”
