One of the Pebble People sculptures in Pavilion Gardens has been removed today (Tuesday) to make way for the entrance to the new Glass House.
The three sculptures were commissioned by Eastbourne Borough Council from local artist Louise Neter, just a couple of years ago at a cost of £2k each.
The Friends of Eastbourne Seafront are furious: “What a waste of our money to dismantle them after such a short space of time.
There was a delegation of senior Councillors in Pavillion Gardens recently including Cllr Stephen Holt and Cllr Margaret Bannister so the decision was clearly made at the highest level.
What else will be removed from Pavilion Gardens and will it remain a public park for all to enjoy?!
