CONSERVATIVE MP Maria Caulfield received £20,000 in donations this year.

The MP was paid £17,500 in donations from three private donors.

She is the MP for the Lewes area, which covers such places as Polegate.

Jonathan Ball donated £10,000.

She was also paid more than £4,000 for working as a nurse at the Royal Marsden.

The figures have been revealed by The Argus.

She says they were donations for the General Election last year.

According to The Argus, another Sussex MP is paid £37,000 a year as an adviser to a children’s care provider.

Conservative MP Tim Loughton is paid the figure “for an expected commitment of 12 hours a month” but refused to tell The Argus what it entailed.
