Nathan Dunbar, 19, from Polegate had the honour of taking part in the Queen’s Baton Relay on its route through the South East on its way to Birmingham, the host of the Commonwealth Games 2022. Nathan carried the Queen’s Baton through Deal in Kent on Thursday 7th July.

Nathan was nominated to be a Batonbearer by a local resident who wanted to thank Nathan for the outstanding community work he continues to offer to the communities that surround him. Lyn said, “Nathan truly deserves this privilege to be part of something special celebrating all the good in the commonwealth, he continues to put others first and for that I am grateful.”

Nathan has a huge passion for community fundraising and supporting those in his surrounding communities. Nathan doesn’t only support those around him, but he volunteers much of his time to many different charities that operate nationwide in the UK. In recent years Nathan has generated over £11,000 for good causes and he insists he will continue to give his time and support to those who need it.
