A number of police patrols took place in hot spot areas of anti-social driving in #Eastbourne.

This included around the Beachy Head area following reports from communities of anti-social driving;

Officers conducted a number of stop checks for driving offences, including the use of mobile phones while driving, as well as speaking to drivers in the area to educate and raise awareness of the fatal 5 driving offences.

-Careless driving

-Drink and drug driving

-Not wearing a seatbelt

-Using a mobile phone

-Speeding

“Road users who commit one of the Fatal Five offences are far more likely to be involved in a fatal collision than those who do not.

Whilst our checks and patrols continue, we also encourage local communities and residents to report ASB driving including excess speeding to us at the time , either to 101 or Sussex Police online.
