EASTBOURNE Police say they had a focus on anti-social behaviour (ASB) both in, and around the town centre at the weekend.

A number of people were spoken to, with Officers removing alcohol from individuals causing ASB in the area; further foot patrols also took Officers to open parks and public spaces where eyes were kept open for both ASB and drug related crime.

Late evening patrols saw a handful of people being directed out / removed from the town centre for causing ASB, as well as night-time patrols keeping people safe, and helping vulnerable people get home following a night out under #OperationMarble (night-time economy enhanced patrols).

Officers also spoke to many residents, business owners and visitors to the pier ahead of the Summer season, to offer advice and support on a range of topics, ranging from Summer crime prevention advice, to current and future police campaigns running and how residents can get involved to support.
