POLICE have been at Sovereign Harbour, talking to residents about illegal cockle picking.
Discovery – East Sussex is a multi-agency partnership which aims to expose and tackle Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.
Its officers, accroding to a tweet from the partnership, were at the harbour ‘speaking with residents about illegal cockle picking in the area. Workers maybe being exploited.’
It urged anyone concerned to call police on 101.
