A POPULAR Eastbourne gym is freezing membership prices for 2021.

It made the announcement yesterday in a message to members of Bannatynes.

It said: “In previous years, at this time, you may have received some communication, advising you of an increase in price from 1st January.

“This year, recognising how difficult life during the pandemic has been for us all, we are not planning to increase prices for 2021.

“We are committed to ensuring your membership provides excellent value and, with recent additions, such as “live streamed classes’’ and an “on-demand offering’’, we have improved the digital option, so your wellbeing needs are met, both on and off the gym floor.”

The message went on: “Yesterday, the Government outlined its plan for a return to a regional “tier” system of restrictions, when the current lockdown ends. From December 2nd, our Health Clubs and Spas in England will reopen.

“At a time when national anxiety is high, the impact of exercise on wellbeing is even more important; maintaining or even kickstarting a new fitness regime will help.  With the inclement weather during winter, many of us are less likely to continue an exercise regime at home. With this in mind, we cannot wait to reopen our doors and welcome our members back to continue their wellness journey.”
