PRG Marketing Communications and 4GOLF will be swinging into action this March to support the St Wilfrid’s Hospice 50:50 Challenge.

On Thursday 21st March, PRG’s amateur golfer, Ashley Chapman, and 4GOLF’s resident pro golfer, Mark Packard, will be taking on a 50-ball challenge using 4GOLF’s state-of-the-art golf simulators. Both golfers will have 50 minutes to hit 50 shots into the green on the iconic par-3, 7th hole at Pebble Beach golf course. Both golfers will aim to record the lowest possible total distance from the hole after 50 shots.

PRG and 4GOLF are attempting to turn £50 into as much money as possible for the hospice by inviting people to guess the total distance at the end of the challenge. Each guess will be a donation of £5, and the person with the correct guess at the end of the challenge will win a £50 cash prize.

“As one of the main sponsors of the 50:50 challenge, we were really keen to come up with an idea to help raise money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice,” said PRG’s Ashley Chapman. “I enjoy playing golf, so hitting 50 balls in 50 minutes on one of the most iconic holes in golf seems like a great way to try and raise money for such a great cause. It promises to be an entertaining evening, particularly if there is a strong wind, and we hope lots of people can come down and support us.”

There are two ways to support the challenge. PRG has created a dedicated web page for donations to Ashley’s challenge, while 4GOLF has created a JustGiving page.

People donating to the challenge are being encouraged to join the fun and support the golfers on the evening. Doors open at 5:30pm and the challenge will get underway at 6pm. There will be drinks and delicious burgers available to buy, as well as a nearest-the-pin challenge on the same par-3 hole for supporters to take part in. There will be a prize for the person who hits the nearest shot at the end of the night. Proceeds from this challenge will also go to the charity.

The distance to the hole for both challengers will be calculated on the night, and the winners will be crowned that evening.
