Nicola Simmonds completed a 100-deadlift challenge at 80 kilos (bodyweight) per lift.

This was part of the Captain Tom 100 Challenge in memory of Captain Tom Moore, who died earlier this year.

He had lit up Lockdown for so many of us with his incredible charity walk, raising more than £30 million for our NHS.

Well, Nicola wanted to play her small part too, raising £275 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities UK.

It’s a charity close to members at the Polegate club as one of the owners was helped by the RMCH on the arrival of their premature child.

There is still time to donate.
