SOME residents are complaining about the new fortnightly rubbish collection service in Eastbourne.
It was brought in last month by the LibDems on Eastbourne Borough Council.
They claimed this week the response had been fantastic.
Here’s Elizabeth Russell: “Since the dustbin collection changed to two weekly from 12 April, for those of us who are in Eastbourne, there should have been two collections.
The first time, they did not empty our bins.
We were told this was an error and the bins had to stay out til the following Tuesday, when they came back.
They didn’t empty them yesterday either.
This time the response is that they ‘are looking into it’ and the bins have to stay out again.
I live in Wedderburn Road. Any other roads have this problem?”
Her post on Willingdon Community News has attracted other negative comments about the new arrangements.
