A CRUEL scam is taking place in Eastbourne so beware.
The town and surrounding area is being targeted by this scam.
A person calls the landline pretending to be the MET Police.
As reassurance they provide a name and reference and say call back on 101.
However they leave their line open and pass you to a colleague.
You are NOT talking to the Met Police.
Their aim is to build trust to gain access to bank cards and details.
