THERE are soaring Covid rates in Hampden Park, Hailsham, Roselands and Upperton. new data shows.
There are 27 areas of Sussex with a weekly Covid-19 rate of more than 800 new cases per 100,000 population.
The Argus has compiled the areas of Sussex with the highest Covid-19 rates in the week leading up to December 30.
They include:
- Roselands: 79 new cases giving a rate of 881.6 cases per 100,000 people. 10th highest rate in Sussex.
- Upperton: 59 new cases giving a rate of 845.4 cases per 100,000 people. 15th highest rate in Sussex.
- Hampden Park North: 64 new cases giving a rate of 814.2 cases per 100,000 people. 23rd highest rate in Sussex.
- Hailsham East: 50 new cases giving a rate of 813.0 cases per 100,000 people. 24th highest rate in Sussex.
The data shown relates to the seven-day period leading up to Christmas Day, and the weekly Covid rates are expressed as the number of recorded cases per 100,000 population.
