A FUNDRAISER to help a family who lost everything in a house fire last Thursday has exceeded its target.

The fire was in Maywood Avenue, Hampden Park and a target of £5,000 was set.

Today the figure is at £5,130.

Some 172 people have donated.

Katie Gaffoor is organizing this fundraiser.

She posted: “A colleague of ours lost everything in a devastating house fire.

“He lives with his wife and 3 girls, aged 2, 8 and 11. They also have a cat.

“We are raising money so they can buy clothes and essentials as they have absolutely nothing.

“The family are so kind and caring, would do anything to help anyone so hopefully we can return the favour and help them!”
