A car was stolen off the road in The Broadway in Alfriston at the weekend.
Locals have posted online about what happened: “They reversed at speed and crashed into a telegraph pole by the recreation ground.
“The owner is a care giver and was with a client and had her car keys with her. Cash and cards were stolen from the car.
“Police are on the way (as this post was written soon after the theft).”
