The Port Hotel on Eastbourne seafront has been named in the top 100 hotels by The Sunday Times.

This is a massive achievement for one of our newest – but very best – hotels.

The review reads: “Eastbourne is buzzing with cafés, a creative scene and this arty hotel with sea or South Downs views.”

It adds: “Port, which opened in spring, stands out immediately from the traditional all-white seafront line-up. It’s painted in striking black.

“Inside, the interior designer Imraan Ismail has created a considered Scandi aesthetic for the 19 rooms with a palette that’s linked to the landscape: green at the back where there are views of the South Downs; pink and stone at the front to reflect the pebbles.

“Two family rooms on the lower-ground floor come with a bunk bed or sofa bed for little ones.”
