Jackie, Caroline and Rhianne are off to Beachy Head to help raise much needed funds for The Chaseley Trust.

The Beachy Head Marathon is one of the biggest off-road marathons in the UK.

Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, it is popular for its scenic and challenging route through the South Downs National Park countryside.

Jackie, Caroline and Rhianne say running is an outlet to reduce stress in their lives, as well as boosting those feel-good happy endorphins.

They decided that they wanted to raise money for Chaseley’s wellbeing department, because they believe everyone deserves to live as rich and fulfilling of a life as possible.

Jackie, who works at The Chaseley Trust, knows first-hand the difference it makes, and your kind donations will go directly to provide fun activities and trips for the residents.

So, even though they’ll find the 300 steps, 14 gates and the equivalent elevation of 1,318m along the South Downs National Park route a challenge over the 26m course, it’s nothing compared to the difficulties the residents and their families face on a daily basis.

We wish Jackie, Caroline & Rhianne all the best and thank them all so much for supporting our charity.

Why fundraise for Chaseley?

Our main source of funding comes from residents’ fees, which cover the cost of their care package and contributes to the daily running costs of the home.

The upkeep of our beautiful building, upgrading our equipment and providing all the extra social and recreational activities and services that enhance the comfort and wellbeing of our residents comes at a huge price.

We are currently in to our second year of our 15-year plan to enable us to modernise, update and refresh our Chaseley home.

These planned works will ensure we can deliver the best care possible to our residents for the next 75 years.

Just a couple of our projects that we need help with are:

• Repair and refresh 21 windows around our home

• Replace some of the flooring

The Chaseley building is very complicated and has been altered and extended over many years. We need to future plan any building works, including maintenance, repairs and improvements. This comes at a staggering cost, but with your help we are sure that we will be able to raise these much-needed funds and ensure our residents continue to receive the excellent care they require, whilst living in a first-class home that they deserve.

If you feel like you could support Chaseley by making us your Charity of the Year or potentially host an event on our behalf, please contact us on 01323 744200 or fundraising@chaseleytrust.org
