THERE is a warning to beware of dog thieves after two incidents in the past 24 hours.
The first happened in Seaford and there has been a huge response on social media asking all dog walkers to be alert.
A man walking his dog this morning was approached by another man driving a Transit described as ‘beaten up.’
The man said: ‘He asked about breeding from Teddy and we told him to leave us alone.
“We then kept seeing the van driving around while I was continuing my walk.
“Be careful please.”
A similar dog theft attempt also happened yesterday in Hastings.
A man wearing a balaclava driving a white van tried to steal a dog. The registration number of the vehicle was covered up.
Be careful is the message to all dog owners in East Sussex.
