EASTBOURNE MP Caroline Ansell is demanding the halt of homeless people coming from Brighton to stay in Eastbourne.
She insists that she is not anti-homeless.
She appeared on BBC News to highlight the issue.
Caroline said: “Eastbourne hotels have been used by Brighton and Hove Council to house over 130 of Brighton’s homeless people.
“I am not anti-homeless but I strongly object to Brighton and Hove doing this without letting the Eastbourne authorities know.
“Many homeless people have very complex needs and without warning and preparation Eastbourne services simply can’t cope.
“I am awaiting a response from Brighton and Hove and an assurance they won’t do this again.”
