HERE we are in the middle of summer, and it does thankfully feel like the pandemic is coming to an end.

At least we all hope it is.

Here at Bournefree we continue to work tirelessly in the local community, and it really is such great fun.

We have always felt privileged when we are able to Make a Difference, and that was certainly the case with Morrisons in Hampden Park.

Their Community Champions really are just that – Champions – and it was a pleasure to help them with their laptop appeal.

New business

207 is an amazing number of laptops to have been donated – and they will all go to young people in the town who need them.

That showed the power of our online presence – both our website bournefreelive.co.uk and our buzzing Facebook page.

Please remember to go to our website daily and Like us – it really is building up huge traffic, and the level of debate is great – and very entertaining too.

We are delighted to feature Maybugs on our front page, and on pages 10 and 11.

This is a great new Eastbourne business, and I have no doubt it will be a success. Pop in, if you haven’t already.

We are always looking to innovate and introduce fresh ideas, and one of them can be found on page 54 today.

Wonderful work

We have launched a new Classified section. It’s only £50 for businesses and I am sure it will grow in the coming months.

It is also a privilege this month to feature opposite – on page 3 – the wonderful work that Brewers does in the local community.

Brewers talk about ‘Together;’ and never has a word been more relevant as the community comes back to life.

Eastbourne and the surrounding area are all great places.

Let’s hope the period between now and Christmas is a successful one and our economy can thrive once again.

Please get in touch with us if you want to be part of Bournefree moving forward.

Have an enjoyable month – and don’t forget to go onto bournefreelive.co.uk daily.
