HELEN Burton is standing for the Libdems against Tory Colin Belsey in the forthcoming county council by-election for Ratton.
Today the Libdems have posted letters to voters from Helen asking for her vote.
Helen writes: “This might be the most important local election to be held for years.
“Our NHS is struggling to cope, all councils are facing financial black holes, and years of Conservative austerity cuts means that important services that were already under pressure even before the pandemic are even more strained.
“Under the Conservatives, East Sussex County Council has closed care homes, seven libraries, and made huge cuts to support services.
“Your current Ratton ESCC councillor just voted to close the Station Health Centre – during a global pandemic which will put even more pressure on all the remaining GP services.”
