You can be anything you want to be – That’s the quiet message behind a new coffee shop opened by Jennifer Jelley at 22 Mountfield Road, Hampden Park.
Previously a beauty salon, the space has been thoughtfully transformed into an independent coffee shop with a welcoming and inclusive feel.
Jennifer says the aim is to create a place where people feel comfortable and at ease. The frosted windows offer privacy, allowing visitors to enjoy the space in their own way.
Having faced challenges in her own life, Jennifer wanted to create something positive and supportive — a place that feels open to everyone.
The coffee shop supports local businesses wherever possible. Coffee is supplied by Seven Sisters Coffee Co, a Sussex-based roastery known for its quality blends, while the tea offering has been specially selected from Shi Bui Tea.
The menu includes fresh daily paninis, cakes and sausage rolls, with vegan and gluten-free options.
Looking ahead, Jennifer plans to add outdoor seating with flowers at the front during warmer months and hopes to open into the evening.
“I want it to be a relaxed, happy place with a really good atmosphere,” she said.
